Andromeda is becoming Schneider Electric

Mike Cluskey

Shredding sales director appointed

Independent secure shredding company, Russell Richardson & Sons Ltd has appointed a new sales director, Mike Cluskey to drive forward the company’s information destruction offering and reinforce the high-level security of its approach.

Responsible for a five strong team, Mike will utilise his 12 years sales experience to strategically increase the company’s sales revenue over the next five years by securing new business and generating growth within existing accounts. With over four years as a key account manager at a national shredding company, Mike has a firm grasp of the legislation surrounding information destruction and believes there are a number of misconceptions across the shredding industry that need to be addressed. He explains: “There is a vast amount of legislation that surrounds our industry, not least the Data Protection Act, however, the market continues to be defined by its by-product; recycled paper.

At present Russell Richardson provides peace of mind with security-led shredding services for a mixture of clients nationwide, from SMEs to blue chip companies including the police force and solicitors firms. A founding member of the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) Europe, Russell Richardson adheres to the strict security standards set in BS EN15713:2009, the European standard for the destruction of confidential information and operates to ISO9001:2008.

Jonathan Richardson, managing director, Russell Richardson, concludes: “As we are an independent business, Mike will become instrumental in our growth over the next few years and with his experience of the procurement processes in SMEs, blue chip companies and the public sector we are confident he will be a real asset.” www.russellrichardson.co.uk Tel: 0800 294 6552.
