Pro-Shop Europe is delighted to announce the launch of its first trade awards. The Pro-Shop Europe Trade Awards 2011 celebrate and recognise the outstanding talent and commitment that club professionals and retailers across Europe provide for their members and customers on a daily basis.


W


e will also be recognising the products, manufacturers, sales agents and PR teams who have delivered above the rest over the past year.


The awards will be independently judged by a select panel of


industry experts. We now need you as PGA golf professionals, PGA assistant


professionals and retailers to motivate your members and customers to nominate you for this year’s awards. If you are lucky enough to be one of our three shortlisted winners in the categories of PGA Professional of the year, PGA assistant Professional of the Year, Junior Coach of the year or Pro Shop


THE CATEGORIES:


PGA Professional of the year This will be awarded to the pro who has demonstrated the greatest ability and initiative to manage their pro shop while developing and growing the number of their members and the revenues of their club. In addition they will have delivered exceptional coaching and development programmes for all ages and abilities.

Junior Coach of the Year This award will be bestowed on the pro who has demonstrated an exceptional ability to coach, teach and encourage the participation in golf of the local community and members up to the age of 16 (before 31st December 2011) through creative and eff ective teaching methods.


Pro Shop of the Year This award will be given to the pro shop that has demonstrated an ability to make the most of the available space to deliver a professional, well presented and accessible pro shop, that caters for and exceeds its members’ and visitors’ needs.

This will be presented to the assistant pro who has demonstrated the ability to work in partnership with his/her respective pro and club members as well as displaying aptitudes above and beyond what is expected and required.


Product of the Year – voted for by club pros and golf retailers This will be awarded to the product that our readers believe has above all others added real value to not only the game but to the golf club as a business and the members as end users.


Manufacturer of the Year – voted for by club pros and golf retailers This will be awarded to the manufacturer who has delivered the most innovative and consistent range of products across the year, which has above all others added real value to not only the game, but to the golf club as a business and the members as end users.


Sales agent of the Year – voted for by club pros and golf retailers This will be presented to the sales agent who has delivered exceptional service and support to the pro shops in their region and has demonstrated going the extra mile to assist their customers.


PR Teamof the Year – voted for by manufacturers This award focuses on the PR and marketing company who has delivered the most innovative and successful campaign using all media channels and who has exceeded the original brief.
