TT electronics Demonstrates Integrated Products and Services Approach to Defence Applications at DSEi

TT electronics will be highlighting its range of innovative high-rel components and compliant services for military vehicle applications at the forthcoming DSEi event in London TT electronics’ stand number S5-390, will feature examples of the very latest applications of the group’s services and technologies for the military and defence markets. Visitors to the TT electronics stand will have the opportunity to meet the

TT Electronics' ABConnectors

technical and market experts who will be available throughout the event to answer queries and discuss new application opportunities. The team will be on hand to demonstrate the benefi ts of the company’s portfolio of advanced mil- spec compliant components, assemblies and services. Highlights include the recently introduced light-weight push-pull

connectors designed to enhance the portability of rugged fi eld-based communication equipment in extreme environments, as well as new developments to circular connectors including 38999, the comprehensive backshell portfolio, plus harness and box systems design capabilities. Integrated manufacturing services (IMS) will also be showcasing their leading edge solutions for design, manufacturing, logistics and aftermarket services, managed through “TT Program Life Management” tools.

Benchtop UV Conveyor Offers Fast Cures

Intertronics’ Benchtop UV Converter Specialist adhesives company Intertronics have a wealth of UV cure adhesives and UV cure systems for manufacturers looking to upgrade their adhesive technologies or perhaps to move from a traditional mechanical fastening system to an adhesive solution – for reasons of cost and/or quality. Their new DYMAX UVC-5 conveyor

system is a bench-top unit offering the benefi ts of rapid throughput UV curing as part of a production line or as stand-alone equipment for curing UV adhesives as well as UV curable inks and coatings. The DYMAX UVC-5 offers very high intensities for fast UV curing (up to 10 metres per minute) with complete shielding from UV light and consistent cure times. This cost-effective and versatile conveyor

system is ideal for production and lab environments. The UVC-5 features a 120mm wide

belt, with a lamp head which is height adjustable on the belt, from ~15mm to a maximum of ~60mm (custom conveyors are available for larger objects). Curing time can be adjusted by changing the belt speed from 1 to 10 metres per minute. The intensity of up to 400 mW/cm2 (UVA range) provides fast and complete cure for potting and conformal coating applications. The dependable, heavy-duty

conveyor design with fully shielded lamp enclosures presents a compact bench-top unit with both metal halide or mercury bulb types available. For further information and an illustrative video, please see www.intertronics. co.uk or visit their blog at www. adhere.uk.com

Technic Introduces Pallaspeed Pd/ Ni NFA - New Low Stress Palladium Nickel

Technic is pleased to announce the commercial release of Pallaspeed Pd/Ni NFA, a production proven, sulfate palladium nickel process that produces exceptionally low stress ductile deposits over a wide current density range. The Pallaspeed Pd/Ni NFA process

is specifi cally designed to eliminate free ammonia, improving both worker and environmental safety through the elimination of harmful fumes. The process is also chloride free, eliminating possible corrosion of stainless steel equipment. The pH of Pallaspeed Pd/Ni NFA is more stable than conventional Pd/Ni processes, reducing the need for frequent ammonia additions. The Pallaspeed Pd/Ni NFA process

produces industry leading, micro- crack free deposits at thicknesses up to 2.5 microns with excellent adhesion. The deposits pass both the bleach and sulfurous acid porosity tests commonly used in the electronics industry. This process is available globally under either the “NFA” designation in North America or the Pallaspeed Pd/Ni LA designation in Asia and Europe.
