The company consists of four divisions: SMT Equipment, Software, Services and Supplies. We recently sat down with JASPER VAN MEERTEN, president, to see what sets KVM4S/EUROPE-SMT apart from its competition as well as to discuss Jasper’s thoughts for expanding the company.

I joined the SMT industry as a salesman for a local Belgian distributor in 1985, so I have seen the tremendous rise of this technology. When the
technology began maturing, I noticed the advantages that pre-owned equipment could bring to many contractors. KVM4S was formed and later EUROPE-SMT was added in partnership. I believe we are successful for these reasons: quality, reliability and sustainability. This has made us what we are today, and we now are recognized as being the premier pre-owned equipment distributor in Europe, expanding rapidly worldwide.
KVM4S/EUROPE-SMT is considered to be a high- end quality supplier of pre-owned equipment. We have been at it since 1999 and we have chosen
not to be all things to all men. Now that our reputation has been built up in Europe, it is time to bring our expertise and services to other parts of the world. This is why we decided to exhibit at APEX in Las Vegas and it turned out to be a successful decision. Since the show in April, we have signed with some of the top reps in the US. Apart from that, we are investigating setting up our own facility in Brazil in late 2011. We are also seeing an increase in demand for our systems from mainland China and India. We have been working with excellent distributors who take care of the local service in these areas.
