Continuing operational focus has helped minimise the expected adoption lag and has driven en- hanced performance. Gross win per termi- nal week was £821 in H1 reaching £850 in the second quarter. Machine gross win was 15.0 per cent up in H1.


The company said: “Our focus on ma- chines will now move to improv- ing the mix of games with new and exclu- sive con- tent driv-

illiam Hill has reported another in- crease in its gaming machine per- formance, attributed to the newInspired Storm terminals. In its interim results, the bookmaker revealed that year-on-year gross win growth in machines for the peri- od was 10 per cent, with gross win per ma- chine per week 8 per cent higher at £902 (2010: £836). Finance director Neil Cooper commented: “Gross win per machine per week has now broached £900, a perform- ance which reflects well on our operational approach to this category, an approach that blends good day to day customer service, effective content management, and timely and relevant marketing and promotional activity.”

ootball pools operator Sportechhas said that its aim to broaden the distribu- tion of the pools encouraged the firm to spread into betting shops both home and internationally. The company announced: “We have extended our distribution on the high street with our products now being of- fered by Jennings, Betterand Chisholm bookmakers via Finsofttechnology. Inter- nationally, from the start of the new foot- ball season, we have commenced a football pools distribution partnership arrange- ment with Phumelela Gold, South Africa's leading horseracing, tote and bet- ting organisation.”
