22 B 2 B Essential Guide to ... EiG DEBATE Conference calls
One of the big draws for delegates to EiG is the high level and informative conference presentations that inform debate over the course of the event. Here is a taster of some of the subjects and speakers on offer over the week.

iG Totally Gaming is to unite three experts in the field of social media to explain how it can be used to improve an iGaming business’s product offer. Betclic Everest Group’s Joakim Nilsson,
Betsafe’s Razmus Svenningson and Unibet’s Nick Garner will look at how social media can be used in CRM and cus- tomer management and ascertain which monitoring tools can be utilised in online gaming and how. They will also identify the messages to react to by tagging players and cor- rectly understanding the player value, as well as clarify how to implement procedures for smooth interaction between customer management and marketing and product teams. Meanwhile, Antonio Tagliaferri, the regulatory heavy- weight behind the highly applauded liberalisation of the Italian iGaming market, is to assess its performance thus far and shed light on what future is planned for the sector in a keynote speech at EiG Totally Gaming.
As the games division director of Amministrazione dei Monopoli di Stato (AAMS), Tagliaferri’s presence will en- hance EiG’s aim of plugging delegates into the heart of the Italian market, enabling them to take full advantage of the new opportunities it offers and duplicate its success across Europe.
PosteMobile e-gaming director Francesco Mastantuoni is to discuss how to leverage established brands, reputa- tions, consumer relations and existing product offerings to maintain a leading market share in today’s increasingly competitive gaming market.
Mastantuoni will explain how to harness opportunities in the online space and align a business’s existing product with an online offering. He will also look at how to create exciting and competitive product propositions and build on the trust factor to keep players loyal to a brand, as well as identify the challenges local incumbents face in competing

BAR BIANCO: VENUE FOR THE EIG KICK OFF SOCIAL LAUNCHPAD
How to attract investment
The EiG LaunchPad will once again be a key feature at EiG. Judge Reshma Sohoni, partner at early-stage micro seed investment fund Seedcamp, discusses what she’d like to see.
with new entrants from global markets and discuss how to address them.
There will also be a trio of top level iGaming executives convening at EiG Totally Gaming to discuss how to take ad- vantage of poker’s changing business dynamics and re- verse the decline in its revenues. Richard Flint (managing director of Sky Betting and Gaming), Malcolm Graham (CEO of PKR) and Patrik Selin (CEO of Bodog) will com- bine their considerable experience to investigate the real impact of the Full Tilt and PokerStars indictments and iden- tify who the real winner and losers are in Europe. They will also explain how to find differentiation in what is a crowd- ed market, how to reach out to new and casual players and how to prevent player cannibalisation within networks. Away from the main conference itself, Daniel Brat- temark, chief security officer of Scandinavian iGaming op- erator Paf, is to reveal how to reduce data leakage from gaming networks at Combating Cybercrime In Gaming, the definitive guide to protecting businesses, players and repu- tations from online criminals that is running in conjunction with EiG Totally Gaming.
Brattemark will examine the new tools available to de- tect and prevent cybercrime threats and explain how to im- plement data loss prevention tools to reduce data leakage. He will also show how to optimise the protection of gamers’ information by tagging sensitive information.
How useful is the Start-up LaunchPad as an exercise? It’s a great way to see what kind of innovative ideas are being worked on and built into companies. Especially with so many experts coming to this conference, it’s a great forum to have the LaunchPad.
What does a start up need to do to attract investment? There isn’t one formula that always works of course. But things that will help some succeed versus others are: 1) a great idea that's a really solving a problem, 2) that the problem being solved presents a big enough market opportunity,
3) that the way to solve the problem does make life easi- er and is defensible,
4) that the team can execute brilliantly on the whole op- portunity
