properties has been rigorously tested to guarantee Cerakote lasts longer than other similar coatings. To prove Cerakote is the fi rearm coating the manufacturers believe it to be, NIC Industries (the manufacturer of Cera- kote), hired an independent military testing facility to perform a blind side-by-side test with other fi nishes. In every test Cerakote out performed.

Smooth Triggers Templar also offers an excellent

trigger job on Glock pistols with Ru- ger SR-9/40 actions soon to follow. When considering what was the best way to go about this, Meszaros got in touch with Arthur Viani at Ghost Inc. For those not familiar with Ghost, they offer replacement trigger con- nectors for both Glock and Ruger SR- 9/40 pistols. The trigger connector is what releases the striker/fi ring pin to strike the cartridge primer, and in fac- tory stock, Glock pistols the “glitch” that occurs, making many shooters

smash through this point of contact taking the muzzle off target and missing the shot. The Ghost connec- tor smoothes out this contact point by offering superior angles, as does the similar Ruger product. If the best possible Glock trigger is desired, the Ghost connector can also be obtained with a tab that eliminates trigger over travel making it feel even shorter in length. My favorite combination is a 4.5-pound Ghost connector with a 6-pound Wolff trigger spring and a 6-pound Wolff striker spring. This results in a 5.5-pound trigger that is very smooth and easy to shoot, both well and fast! Templar also polishes all trigger bar bearing surfaces to en- sure the customer gets the smoothest action possible. The primary reason for missing any shot is improper or lack of trigger control so the better the trigger action, the better you will shoot — it’s as simple as that. I believe sights are good, however, I also believe that not just any sight

confi guration will work. If you take a moment to think about the pande- monium of a gunfi ght, especially one in close quarters, it’s not hard to un- derstand that black on black or three white dots are just not going to cut it. If you are going to reference your sights when someone is shooting at you, they better be of a confi guration that will help attract your eye when they are trying to track the threat that is trying to kill you. No one of- fers more confi gurations of sights than Ameriglo and Templar Custom Arms, who are proud to be an Ameri- glo dealer. Whatever sight combina- tion meets your needs (or eyes!) it is available from Templar Custom, pro- vided Ameriglo makes what you are looking for. Considering that Ameri- glo offers black, colored, dots, bars, tritium, tritium with colored rings, serrated, tritium and serrated, Lumi- nova or tritium/Luminova combina- tions, it’s hard to imagine they do not make something that will meet your needs or desires. The folks at Tem- plar Custom will work with you to get the sights that best suit your real world application … and good or bad eye sight! Bob Meszaros sent me several guns

so I could experience the wide range of services offered by Templar Cus- tom Arms. The fi rst was a Glock 19C he bought for a very good price due to the compensation cuts placed into the slide and barrel. The other was a Ruger LCP .380, a gun that is possi- bly the most popular self-defense pis- tol currently available. Bob converted the 19C back into a conventional pistol by replacing the compensated barrel with a stainless version from Lone Wolf Distributors. After doing
