SEO?
The big question for wedding pros is does Google+ help Nearlyweds find your business on the web? The answer: we don’t yet. Minutes after I added my profile to Google+, it showed near the top of a search for my name. But who cares? If you’re searching for my name, you probably already know where to find my website. It hasn’t yet helped with generic searches related to my business. We’re trying a few experiments but as of now, it really won’t help your business when someone searches on Google.
Google+ for Business
Right now, Google+ is reserved for people and they have asked businesses and brands to wait until they unveil their business solution later this year. No one is really listening to that (see Mashable’s profile) but there isn’t much advantage to most businesses to create a profile at this point unless you are in a tech related field OR have a tech related publication/blog. We’ll post an update when the business solution is available.
So, bottomline - Should you jump on Google+?
For most wedding professionals, I would say NO – wait until there is a business solution and see how that plays out. Espe- cially if you don’t even have a Facebook Page or Twitter account yet.
There are two exceptions: 1) if you have a wedding related company that is also technology related OR 2) if your name is also the name of your business. Why? Because it will allow those on Google+ to find you easily there.

Otherwise, there is no rush to Google+ unless you have time and want to play around with it. OR if you just want to help me add more people to my Circles.
