Hastings deal with “Protect your Bubble”

astings Partnerships, which manages Hastings Direct’s affinity and partnership business, has announced a new partnership with Protect Your Bubble, to offer car and home insurance to its customers. Protect Your Bubble is best known for its gadget cover - iPhones to iPads and Kindles to
laptops - and extends its portfolio to pet insurance, car hire insurance, travel and home emergency cover.

he commercial broker network, TEn Insurance, has signed up ten new members to its network since the start of 2011. They bring an estimated combined £3 million GWP into the TEn Insurance network. Malcolm Lee, managing director of TEn Insurance, says,

Coachworks purchase for Markerstudy
arkerstudy Group has acquired Tonbridge Coachworks Vehicle Repair Group. With more than 900 members of staff and annual revenue in excess of £500 million, Tonbridge Coachworks expect the purchase to provide a secure platform for expansion. BIBA welcomesnew CIE letters

IBA has welcomed the new warning letters being sent as from June 20th to registered keepers identified as having an uninsured vehicle under the Continuous Insurance Enforcement law. Graeme Trudgill, head of corporate affairs, says, “The enforcement of the new law is a bold move to tackle uninsured driving and will
make the roads safer. Anyone receiving this new letter should check the Motor Insurance Database at
www.askMID.com and speak to their insurance provider to see if their vehicle is recorded correctly on the database. If insurance is required, they can contact the BIBA Find a Broker service at

Ecclesiastical abseil for Christian Aid E
cclesiastical managing director Steve Wood led the company’s team taking part in a group abseil in Gloucester on June 15th to raise funds for Christian Aid. The abseil, organised by the charity, was down the tower of St Barnabas Church in the city.
More than 20 people from Ecclesiastical took part in the challenge and raised funds for the charity which will be matched from the company’s charity funds. Ecclesiastical also supported the annual Christian Aid Week.
