The Claim Witness team has put in nearly two years’ work in conjunction with telematics experts to bring this project to the insurance market.
The system records every journey in high definition footage which in the event of an accident can be rerun to reveal exactly what happened. Being able to see who hit who, and how, aids speedy decisions and speedy but fair settlements. It also confirms the exact number of passengers in both vehicles.
Claim Witness can - without human intervention - immediately inform the driver’s own insurer in the event of an accident, and thus quickly allowing the door to be firmly closed to intervention by claims management firms.
Claim Witness also provides a wealth of driving data.
Claim Witness can allow a parent or person with permission to confidentially track a vehicle in real time by using its last destination points.
Further services can be provided such as calling emergency services and arranging vehicle recovery and hire cars.
If the vehicle is reported as stolen, Claim Witness can obtain its exact GPS location, allowing the vehicle to be tracked in real-time. A remotely operated Engine-OFF facility is also available to cut the fuel and bring the vehicle to a slow stop.

Professional Installation
Claim Witness systems can be professionally installed at policyholder’s preferred site
Installation certificates are issued by the installers to confirm the correct viewing angle has been chosen and the unit is operational. Nothing is left to chance
Memory cards are exchanged automatically every 12 months to ensure continued high performance
Comprehensive Bureau Service
After detecting an impact, the unit checks for false alarms by verifying that the vehicle is stationary using GPS. If there has been no movement between the two checks, it dials into a central station to report the impact, giving GPS location and other vehicle details
After the insurer is made aware that a policyholder has been involved in an incident, they simply request Claim Witness to package the accident view, speed and exact location data, so they can view over a secure network
Claim Witness instructs their courier to collect the memory card which holds the vital evidence
Claim Witness issue a replacement memory card to give the policyholder continuation of service
Claim Witness interrogate the card and extract the footage, GPS and G-sensor information
Claim Witness load this information in a clear and user-friendly format onto a secure web server. No special software, hardware or training is required
Insurer receives an email as soon as this has been done, with a unique web link
