CBGlaunches brewery cover with Sterling

BG Group has launched Craft Brewery insurance to provide a range of covers for the commercial brewer. The product has been developed in conjunction with Sterling Insurance. Paul Jones, account executive at CBG, is leading the specialist division. He says, “We’ve built up considerable experience in the brewery industry from working with the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) and its members. Breweries are looking for a provider that really understands their industry and the unique issues they face. “We’ve worked with Sterling to ensure that the Craft Brewery cover addresses all of these requirements. It has been designed to save breweries time and money, while also safeguarding the businesses.”

GL has launched a personal financial education programme for its staff. The Wellbeing Programme


encompasses health, happiness, fitness and relaxation, and the latest addition aims to help staff improve knowledge of their personal finances.


The seminars, under the


general heading of “Making the most of your money”, cover areas such as basic financial planning, borrowing, savings and investment, as well as preparing for retirement. So far more than 170 members of staff have signed up for the sessions, which will be delivered by the Money Advice Service.

ive senior managers from specialist engineering and construction insurer HSB Engineering Insurance have completed a four-day cycle ride from London to Paris in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. Christened Lycra Warriors, the HSB team started from Crystal


Palace park and cycled the 300 miles to the Eiffel Tower, aiming to raise £7,000. The team consisted of Stephanie Watkins, CEO; Peter Milton, managing director, engineering division; David Threlfall, group IT manager; Neville Green, group underwriting manager; and Allan Padget, MIS manager.

The product covers costs of hiring crisis PR and legal experts following negative media coverage. Insurable events covered include: product recall; board or senior management members’ defection or behaviour; a health, safety and environment failure; a regulatory investigation; business continuity failure or a data breach.
