t the annual Fleet Safety Forum Awards, held on June 9, Dave Abbott, head of technical at Cardinus, was presented with the Kevin Storey Award to recognise a lifetime achievement in the pursuit of road safety.

He was one of the pioneers of the fleet driver training


industry and has consulted at national and EU levels.


Andy Hawkes, chief executive of Cardinus, says, “This is a truly fitting recognition of Dave’s position as a leader in our industry. He has been a crusader for road safety and it is this passion to save lives that makes such a difference to our clients.”


QBE sponsor rugby internationals Q


BE has signed an agreement with the Rugby Football Union to become the title sponsor for the autumn internationals. The deal will run for four years and is an extension of the existing partnership with the RFU.
