We are looking for additional tour operator partners. Becoming a well-known second tier USA destination is the goal. Our strength lies within our destination’s authenticity and simplicity – we are who
we are, and we do it best! We attend equestrian shows with Ranch America and, most recently, the Destinations travel show in London with Ranch Rider. We feel it's important to connect our destination with the point of sale whenever possible. We are planning a training mission for summer 2012.”

ranch experiences. What makes them different from neighbouring Colorado is price. Kansas and Oklahoma offer tremendous value for money; similar ranches in Colorado would cost between 30-50% more. "Oklahoma has great Native America
history. Also, many of the major cattle trails of the 1800s, like the Chisholm Cattle Trail, go through both Oklahoma and Kansas. We offer two ranches in
Kansas: the Flying W Ranch and the Moore Working Ranch. Both of these are genuine working ranches but the Moore Ranch is the more traditional of the two and runs a herd of Texas longhorns. "The accommodation is fairly basic but
clean and comfortable, whereas the Flying W Ranch is a working ranch with more upscale accommodation and offers really good food by a trained chef/owner/ rancher. Riding ability for these ranches would normally be intermediate plus. "In Oklahoma we also offer two ranches. The Island Ranch is very similar to Moore Ranch, being a real working ranch with good, clean accommodation. The other ranch is Tiger Mountain Ranch. This is really a guest ranch, although they do have a few cattle that guests get involved with, but here it is really about scenic western riding. "As for riding experience, for Island
Ranch I would advise intermediate-plus and for the Tiger Mountain Ranch from beginner upwards.”

We booked a couple to the Moore Ranch in Kansas for this month (May). The booking was determined by price rather than destination. The client who booked it looked at two or three other ranches in different areas. These days people are looking for something different. They've all done beach holidays, which is why alternatives like ranch holidays are becoming more popular.”
