Tina Volpone of Murrieta CA and Michelle Henke of Temecula CA at Ocotillo Wells. We are now known as the Mud Mommas when we go offroading!
My mom, Leah Carter, took me all over Baja starting 45 years ago when I was 5 years old. She started out driving my brother and I to Mex in a 4 cylinder Scout. She has supported my racing and off road riding forever ! Her favorite races were Riverside Off Road World Championships. She has taken photos of my local MX races to the very old and famous International Motocross 500 Grand Prix at Carlsbad CA to the Baja 1000 to many short course races and Southern Baja races as well. She usually has a camera in her hands
and she always got the best pics ! She is now 83 and has been my biggest fan, traveling all over the US and Mexico to support my racing. Her last trip south to La Paz was in May of last year for the Mexican 1000. We went everywhere, she is the bravest and most adventurous lady I have ever known! — Matt Carter, San Diego

Cheryl Gorman, my wife and mom to our two sons, loves the dunes. We go as often as we can, and she drives just as good as ‘the boys’. She used to ride a Suzuki LTZ-400 and last year transitioned to a Tazcar.
Julie Probst is an off road mom from Winchester, CA. Julie is co-owner of ProPrecision Sand and Offroad. She drives a 2008 Teryx and enjoys off roading in Glamis and Ocotillo Wells.
Hi. My name is Allison Jensen. This is a picture of my Mom, Christine Jensen, and me in front of my daddy’s sandrail. We live in Tempe AZ. Our family (with my daddy Paul and brother Matthew) goes to the Glamis sand dunes a lot.
Adriana Guizar went off roading at Glamis for the first time and liked it so much we had to get her, her very own buggy — Ricardo Guizar, Canyon Lake CA

So this is my mother stuck in the
mud...not too uncommon for her...but nonetheless it is probably one of her favorite places to be. Her name is Brenda, although she’s Momsy to me. She belongs to Geared Four Fun 4 Wheel Drive Club. And let’s face it - my Momsy rocks! — Amber Cisneros, Escondido CA
