Leading through innovation

E H Hassell & Sons, which has been working in the crane industry since 1974, says it has a lot to offer the railways…

S

ince 1998 E H Hassell & Sons, based in Stoke-on-Trent, has

been the nominated UK sole agents for the leading German crane manu- facturer Sennebogen.

Each machine, modular in design, can be specified to exact require- ments. Among the options on of- fer are diesel and electric versions, rubber-wheeled, crawler or rub- ber-wheel / rail-mounted solutions; fixed, tiltable or fully elevating cabs; additional counterweights for maxi- mum duty lifts; straightforward vir- tual wall programming required on rail sites; and second crane winches.

For the rail industry, the telescopic machines offer superb flexibility with pick and carry and 360 degree duties, minimal set-up times and multi-functional operations. With a lifting capacity of 8t and a maximum reach of 20m, the 608 machine has a quick-hitch system for three types of attachments; namely; winch, forks and a 360 degree man-basket.

The 613 machine has a lifting capac-

ity of 16t and a maximum reach of 24m and the 643 machine can lift 40t with a maximum reach of 30m. Wireless controls and extra fly jibs can also be supplied.

Sennebogen machines are extremely well built, easy to service and main- tain, E H Hassell & Sons says. With the ergonomic layout in cab design, operators find the operation of the crane to be very simple and effective. Each crane is supplied with an easy to use ‘safe load indicator’ program- mable for the different operations the machines can perform. In addi- tion, Hassells also provide superb support and excellent parts avail- ability and service.

As well as these cranes, the company can also supply lattice boom crawlers up to 300t lift capacity, mobile and crawler telescopic cranes up to 80t lift, harbour cranes up to 180t lift, truck cranes to 60t lift and material handlers up to 270t m/c weight.
