S JCB Mobile CCTV Tower – Trackside trials well underway


The JCB Mobile CCTV tower system is turning heads in security circles thanks to its ability to be easily wheeled in and out of any location at a moment’s notice, saysDave Farman of TEW Plus Ltd.

solution to the rail environment in the UK, TEW Plus Ltd have been running field tri- als with a view to gaining full product ap- proval from Network Rail.


Towers have been installed in trackside and depot environments showing the flex- ibility and ease of installation / recovery of the system.


“The first trackside installation, adjacent to a level crossing in Warwickshire, took less than four hours to deliver and commission on site,” commented Dave Farman, direc- tor at TEW Plus Ltd.


“We took the opportunity to install number plate recognition and fixed overview cam- eras in addition to the standard PTZ, so that these could be included within the trial, and we have been very pleased with the results so far.”

tored 24 hours a day by the Camwatch Central Monitoring Station where trained operatives receive alarms and can view the live and recorded images and challenge any intruders using the live audio link.


The system is rented on a monthly basis, including the monitoring service as stand- ard, as well as any required maintenance and support that may be required.
