Flextraction, suppliers and manufacturers of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) products and UK representa- tive of Fumex AB has introduced a range of extraction arms with or without LED lighting in the hood. The range is designed to create a better environment dur- ing welding and other applications producing fumes. The PR range of extraction arms is a new design with a working radius ranging from 1,150mm – 3,600mm, when mounted at a height of 2.0m and being used at a working height of 750mm. They are manufactured using the latest production technology so they are easy to manoeuvre into the position where extraction is required plus they are stable when positioned and meet the EU standard for the extraction of welding fumes. The extraction arms, available in a variety of lengths, extract welding fumes at 18m per second and the standard hose is made of spring coil steel embed-
ded in PVC coated polyamide fabric. The arm is delivered partly assembled with a wall bracket for easy installation with all steel components being powder coated. Ceiling or floor mounting brackets are available. Flextraction’s new range of totally self supporting Hood Positioning Devices (HPD), including the Flextractor HPD, Extended HPD, Mini HPD and Flextender HPD are now available certified as ATEX compliant. They all incorporate new mounting brackets, hoods and hoses for the capture and extraction of industrial dusts and fumes. Being ATEX compliant means that
products are coated with an anti-stat- ic paint so they can be used in hazardous area zones.
Roof-top fitted fully filtered air supply
Clivet UK is offering a packaged roof-top air-conditioning unit that will provide fully filtered fresh air in commercial and industrial premises where a con- stant supply of full fresh air is desirable in order to create a suit- ably pleasant environment for the occupants. This is particularly important in premises where it is necessary to compensate for the extraction of fumes and vapours. The ClivetPack FFA is a reverse air-air direct expansion heat pump with all components pre-assembled within the unit, making installation simple and economical. Electronic control of
all ventilating sections, coupled with partial load optimisation of the reversible heat pump com- bine to increase efficiency and reduce energy demands. The packaged all-in-one air-air heat pump eliminates the need for fluid distribution circuits and the associated costs of pipe work, circulating pumps and thermal insulation. Electronic air filter options are available for the purification of the air supply, this ensuring the removal of bacteria, fine dust, potential viruses and other pollutants. ClivetPack FFA is available in two options: an air intake only version and an air intake and exhaust version. Exair’s Long Super Ion Air Knives, from Good Hand UK, neutralise static elec- tricity while blowing away dust and par- ticulates from printed surfaces, paper, plastics and three-dimensional shapes up to 2,438mm across. The wide lami- nar airstream full of static eliminating ions is effective at high speeds and pro- vides superior cleaning up to 20ft away. Poor print quality, dust attraction, tear- ing, jamming, and related downtime can be eliminated. The Long Super Ion Air Knife uses a minimal amount of compressed air at 5 PSIG.
