Drives Purchased Bougainvillea Capital LLC, Elk


Grove Village, Ill., has purchased di- ecaster Congress Drives, Ennis, Texas. Congress produces zinc and alu-


minum diecast pulleys and sheaves. Bougainvillea, a privately held hold- ing company, also counts nonferrous diecaster Laurel Manufacturing LLC, Elk Grove Village, Ill., among the compa- nies in its portfolio. Neal Shapiro, president of Laurel Manufacturing, will head up operations at Congress. According to a release issued by the company, the Congress staff has been retained and supple- mented by the Laurel Manufacturing management team. “This strategic acquisition affords us


a well-established product line but also increases our overall production capac- ity by more than 50%,” Shapiro said. Congress offers standard catalog


products and custom components and performs die design, production, machining and assembly, in addition to casting. The company operates from a 90,000 sq. ft. facility and serves the heating, ventilating and air conditioning, overhead door, lift gate, boat lift and hoist, woodwork- ing, polishing machinery, motorized wheelchair, home elevator, conveyor, portable mixer, petroleum and auto- motive industries.
