change and a broad range of environmental impacts.

David Lingeman, A2Dominion’s

Director of Property Services, said: “Across our organisation, we work hard to reduce our impact on the environment. We do this in a range of ways, which includes

taking action to reduce our CO2 emissions, reducing our dependence on non-renewable resources and promoting the reuse and recycling of materials. “We are delighted to have achieved the Bronze level in the SHIFT Index and we are committed to continuing to build on our work.”

Andrew Eagles, Managing Director of Sustainable Homes, secretariat of SHIFT stated: “SHIFT provides an independent assessment of sustainability. By having

this assessment A2Dominion is standing head and shoulders above the rest of the sector. They are illustrating how seriously they take the issues of adaptation and mitigation of climate change. A performance of Bronze is extremely admirable”. Pat Ritchie, Chief Executive of the Homes and Communities Agency, said of the results: “Environmental sustainability is vitally important: I am encouraged to see that our housing association partners recognise the significance of their role and the impact of their work in this field.” For more information on SHIFT visit www.sustainablehomes.co.uk/ sustainablehomesindex.aspx
