EXECUTIVE HIRE SHOW REVIEW continued

More capacity from

Dustcontrol

Dustcontrol’s new DC AirCube 500 air cleaner replaces the AirCube 400

model. It has a different design and provides an extra 25% airflow compared with its predecessor, with no significant increase in dimensions, giving a capacity of 500m3

/hour. The stainless steel machine has two speed settings and the

pre-filter can be changed without opening the unit. The Hepa 13 filter has a larger surface area, equivalent to 4.2m2

, giving longer life, and the

cable can be stored conveniently on top of the cabinet. The machine is stackable and can also be used as a negative pressure unit. One of the first hirers to buy the AirCube 500 was Andy Earll, MD of Ace Line Plant of Rugeley, who bought a machine at the Show.

Demon’s green Tornado

Demon International launched its Tornado Electron, a battery powered, cold water mini bowser. The 24V DC battery provides up to 90 minutes’

continuous operation, and the machine delivers up to 1500psi at 11 litres/minute. The tank capacity is 150 litres. “More and more hirers are looking closely at green products like this to serve customers who are increasingly environmentally aware,” said MD Martyn Walke. “The Tornado Electron gives zero emissions with zero pollution, and its low noise level makes it ideal for use in locations such as schools and hospitals. Running costs are also low, as the battery can be fully recharged in six hours at a cost of approximately 20p.”
