EXECUTIVE HIRE SHOW REVIEW continued

NC Engineering brings dumper launch forward

NC Engineering originally planned to introduce its new 3000kg capacity SW3 swivel dumper at SED in May. But following that event’s demise,

it decided to accelerate development and use the Executive Hire Show for the launch instead. Visitors were able to inspect the sturdy new 3-tonner with its all-steel body panels and mudguards. The machine utilises a 47hp Kubota V2203-M-E2B engine, a Linde through-drive hydrostatic system and ITL axles. A forward-tip version of the dumper will also become available. Also on display was an updated version of the 1500kg capacity HT15 high-tip dumper. This now has a 24hp Kubota D1105 three-cylinder water-cooled engine instead of the Deutz engine used previously. The 1300mm-wide HT15 provides a maximum discharge height of 1552mm.

Husqvarna Construction Products has developed its new DM220 hand-held drill motor especially for the UK hire market. An electronic spirit level incorporating LEDs indicate when the tool is exactly horizontal or vertical. It can also be preset to specific angles, enabling the operator to concentrate on the drilling process rather than constantly adjusting the machine for repetitive applications.

The DM220, which is shown being held by Product Manager Pete Waldron, can be used for wet and dry drilling, and the same connection on the machine can accept a water feed or a dust collector. Husqvarna’s Elgard system is also incorporated, which alerts the user

if the tool is at risk of being overloaded. The drill can also be mounted on the DM150ATS stand. 0844 8444 570 www.husqvarnacp.com

Pramac shows new additions

Pramac UK’s new P6000 generator is a standard, rather than super silent, version of the popular P6000s model and is being introduced as an alternative for budget-conscious customers. It has a Yanmar L100 diesel engine producing 6.9kW, and provides a maximum output of 6kVA. Also displayed was a pre-launch model of the new CX12 powered pallet truck, which will be available in April. It is designed so as to be compact enough to fit easily inside a loaded truck, and it has an integral charger that allows the battery to be recharged by the vehicle’s power supply through an inverter during transit.
