All-Academic Team selection…Made six appearances, all of the starting variety…Went 1-0 with a 3.93 ERA in 18 1/3 innings pitched, allowing just one earned run over his last 9 1/3 frames…Earned his first collegiate win against Cornell (4/20), scattering six hits over 6 1/3 innings and not allowing an earned run.

AS A FRESHMAN: Made six appearances including four starts, going 0-1 with an 11.08 ERA in 13 innings of work …In two of his starts, pitched four innings, allowing just two earned runs.


BEFORE SIENA: Played three years of baseball, two years of basketball and one year of golf at Binghamton…Led team in ERA and strikeouts as a pitcher and on-base percentage and RBI as a hitter his senior year…Went 2-1 with a 0.68 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 20.2 innings his junior season…Led his basketball and golf teams to two STAC and Section IV Championships apiece.


ROSSI ON STENTO: “The coaching staff has spotted Nicco the last two years to help him with his command. He had a good fall and all indications are that he may finally have turned the corner to help the staff out of the bullpen.”
