EMATECH announced that Nanosys, Inc., an advanced materials architect, has joined its Front

End Processes (FEP) program, and will work with SEMATECH to develop new materials and processing techniques for extending flash memory technolo- gies.

As a member of this program, Nanosys will closely collaborate with experts from SEMATECH’s FEP research team, and leverage SEMATECH activities in advanced process integration and materials and device characterization to extend non-volatile me- mory for the 2X nm node and beyond. Specifically, SEMATECH and Nanosys plan to build a material and process infrastructure to enable and extend both planar and future three-dimensional non-volatile memory technologies. http://www.nanosysinc.com

ational Semiconductor Corp. (NYSE: NSM) announced the release of SolarMagic™ MYP-

VDATA™ Solar Operations Center (SOC). Whereas solar systems today are underperforming due to various conditions, MYPVDATA SOC is software as a service (SaaS) that helps users analyze data collected from the array by delivering meaningful information through an easy-to-use web-interface, so maximum

energy can be harvested. MYPVDATA SOC is now included with ongoing service subscriptions for all current commercial customers.

Furthermore, National Semiconductor Corp. intro- duced two configurable sensor analog front-end (AFE) integrated circuits (ICs) with unique techno- logy that work together with new tools to fast-track signal path designs for a variety of sensors from major global manufacturers. The configurable sensor AFE ICs and WEBENCH®

Sensor AFE Designer enable the

design engineer to select a sensor, design and con- figure the solution and download configuration data to the sensor AFE. A typical sensing application that today may require up to several boards and up to 25 components is reduced to just one of National’s ICs. National’s LMP90100 is the industry’s first multi- channel, low power, 24-bit sensor AFE with true continuous background calibration and diagnostics for high performance transmitter and transducer applications. http://www.solarmagic.com http://bit.ly/LMP90100
