E (NYSE: GE) announced the successful closing of its $3 billion acquisition of Dresser, Inc.,

a global energy infrastructure technology and service provider, from funds managed by Riverstone Hol- dings LLC and First Reserve Corporation, Dresser management and its other stockholders.
