This internal connection between control centre, tunnel, site offices and site facilities areas is simple to set up using various communications systems, and contributes to cost-effective and efficient operation of the construction site.


The alarm system


The communication cabinets have a valuable role in an


emergency. Lights on the cabinet indicate the alarm level, supplemented by a signal horn. The alarms are initiated in the control centre – either over the whole construction site or in individual sections.


Evacuation is monitored centrally using access and positioning software. In the event of a mains-power failure,

the integrated UPS units maintain perfect communication and positioning in the tunnel.


All safety-relevant components in the control centre also continue to operate.


The communication cabinets can also connect to external devices such as fans or air-quality measuring stations.
