T e Sun represents the right sector of the house and signifi es male energy and progeny. Cracked or broken windows on the right side of the house spells
diffi culty for the male members of the family. Moreover, if the house is deprived of eastern sunlight (from an absence of windows in the East), this causes insomnia and body aches to male occupants of the household.

Space, light and use of natural materials bring tranquility to a living space. Placing coloured candles in any of the rooms is considered good.
Symbolically, they are said to boost the Fire element and enhance the feel of a special atmosphere when arranged creatively. Candles are also used for meditation and focusing of goals, hence the activation of Fire energy to achieve such aspirations is benefi cial.

T e prayer area or the altar is a very important space in a home. It is the place where one spends quality time
recharging the body and soul. Keeping this space uncluttered ensures the mind is focused. Shades of violet, lavender or yellow encourage spirituality, meditation and concentration during prayers. A prayer altar within the bedroom however is not good, as spirituality and sensuality should not be mixed. Hence creating a family altar or prayer room in a place where it is more central to the layout of the home would help in permeating the auspicious energy across the house.
T e element Space in Vaastu has neither volume nor colour but the geometry of Diamond implies “Space” and has a special signifi cance.
However, in the physical reality in which we all exist, we cannot avoid picking a colour, hence lighter shades or neutral palette is said to signify the element “Space”. To avoid stress away in your daily life and your surroundings, place symbols of Diamonds and Stars in the centre table of your living or bedroom corners; this will overcome any airiness generated due to stress.
