Happiness is on 4th February 2010 which is the 2nd day of Chinese New Year. T is day is also known as Lap Chun Day. T e Lap Chun is the fi rst day of Spring and brings the beginning of another cycle when all living things are revived, bringing new life everywhere. Furthermore, on this day, the daily Lo Shu number 9 appears in the center of the house, bringing happy occasions to all the family. T e auspicious white star 1 is located in Northwest direction, which makes this a far more auspicious day to receive the God of Happiness coming from the Northwest.


THE RECEIVING RITUAL To receive the God of Happiness, select an auspicious hour according to your animal sign of birth. T e table below provides time guides for the welcoming ritual. T ose of you born in the year of Monkey however are advised not to receive the God of Happiness, as this day is in confl ict with your animal sign.

• One set of red candles • One “Fatt Gou” cake • One “Fatt Choi” vegetable • Five types of fruits • Mushrooms • Pineapple • Sweets • “Lian Kou” • Pot of Gold • Gold Bar, Gold Ingots, I Ching coins • God of Happiness sitting on a Tiger
