Brazilian-born London-based designer whose upmarket ISSA line of dresses is currently all the rage reveals a penchant for comfortable sexy clothes.

ver since Kate Middleton wore an ISSA dress at the announcement of her engagement to Prince William, Brazillian designer Daniella Helayal’s star has been shining brighter than ever. Already a fi rm favourite with celebrities such as Madonna, Victoria Beckham and a host of other Hollywood luminaries, it has been Kate Middleton’s very public endorsement of her style which has propelled the ISSA label to the top of the fashion stakes. T e royal blue dress that Kate wore during her engagement is already sold out in London. And it happened within 24 hours of the historic announcement. “Elegance is about being comfortable. It means feeling good
about yourself - that’s where it starts,” says Daniella Helayal as she reveals the secret behind why her dresses are so popular. Daniella cleverly fuses Yin (simplicity) with Yang (bold colours) in all her most celebrated creations. Her outfi ts have become famous for their classic cuts that accentuate the feminine fi gure, but assert a fashion statement through fabulous choice of fabric and colours that turn heads in any room. It may be a coincidence but defi nitely a divine one, as
Royal Blue was the best feng shui colour for Kate to wear during this very momentous announcement. Blue is the colour of water, and is most needed as it is the element that is sorely missing in this year’s Four Pillars Chart! Not only that, Kate’s own Paht Chee chart reveals that her self-element is Water, but she is missing Wood in her chart. Water produces Wood and hence brings Kate added resilience to cope with the publicity and intense responsibilities that will be demanded of her from here on!
