4) Next value of color to use is Bone Black. With this I define the area that will be the ripped “hole in the shirt”, and to fill in the nose and eye sockets on the skull, I also use it to make some shadows around the jaw bone. When done painting with the Black color I clean my airbrush with water, and load it with some Burnt Sienna to paint the areas of the skull and hands that will have a little darker appearance, (on the sides, on top of the head and in- side of the hands). Next I add White to my Burnt Sienna just enough to get a bright value almost flesh tone. With this I add some ribs and soft highlights to the skull and hands, I even define the teeth a bit with this color. Now it‘s starting to take the shape of a skull,,,, After this I let the paint air dry 5-10 minutes then I heat set it again with my iron this may not be necessary but it doesn’t hurt, it also flattens any naps there maybe.

5) Now it’s time to add some “depth” to the skull. I take bone Black again and add shadows over the eye sockets and around the jaw and cheek bones. I try not to spray on to much Black color just give it a thin layer, I don’t want to cover the bone contours entirely. I also define the area around the teeth, and on the hands. The next color is Wine Red with this spray around and on top the skull and ribs and over the Black color that I painted earlier to even out the edge from light to dark colors . I even spray some Red over the Panes Gray that’s outside of the “ripped hole” to give it a Red Purple look I do this to give the design a flesh tone. On the eyes I used Pyrrole Red and a small dot of Yellow in the middle of the eye.

6) Finishing details, to give some volume to the painting I use light Blue color and start painting at the edge of the Black color and out. I do this by dagger strokes around the whole painting. Next I take some Bone Black and give the edges of the” hole” a more ripped look. To define the ripped look even more I add some hanging threads with Titanium White. The final thing to do is to give the eyes a little wilder look I take Pyrrole Red and add some dagger strokes over the eyes to make the impression of glowing eyes. When painting complete, and colors air dried for 10 min I apply a top binding coat with GAC900 let it dry, pillow case on and heat set with my iron,,, T-shirt’s Done
