As well as ranking the top 30 production outfits, the Televisual Commercials 30 also gives production companies the chance to nominate their favourite commercials, directors, post houses, agencies, editors and vfx artists. Here are the results
It’s the second year at the top for Rattling Stick’s Ringan Ledwidge and the fifth year that the production companywins our poll of top rated directors (stablemateDanny Kleinman took the number one position for the three years before Ledwidge). Ledwidge’s voters note his “beautiful work,” his “consistency” and his “visual excellence.”He’s “still going strong on
originality,” comments one fan. Blink’sDougal Wilson again comes in at number two due to his “Wonderful performances in the last year,” according to one voter.He’ll “soon become our most inventive and original director,” comments another. Top 10 stalwartDanny Kleinman comes in at number three, slightly up on last year’s fourth position, voted in for his “broad range” aswell as for being “consistently inventive.” Last year’s number five, Sonny London’s Fredrik Bond, is this year’s number four director on the back ofwork like his Triple Piano ad for Stella Artois 4%made throughMother. Chris Palmer and JohnnyGreen, both ofGorgeous (afterGreen’smove from Knucklehead), share fifth position and awhole host of directors share seventh position including some newnames to the top ten – Rogue’s Sam Brown and Rattling Stick’s AndyMcLeod.
