The largest grading theatre in London The former drive-in television studio has been

converted over the last twelve months to London’s largest grading theatre equipped with a Barco DP3000 digital projector, a Kinoton FP30 35mm film projector and a traditional JBL theatrical sound system. There is a Dolby server for Digital Cinema deliverables review or QC and a Dolby Stereoscopic solution.

All aspects of the new theatre have been optimised for the grading environment with FilmLight’s flexible and responsive Baselight the obvious first choice system. These include a projector dead centre of screen so there is no keystone correction, a non-perf screen and a non-silver screen stereoscopic solution to keep the white screen pristine. Most equipment including Baselight, DS and Clipster can be driven from control surfaces in the theatre. The interior and the acoustics for the grading theatre have been meticulously planned and fulfilled. Cow Limited oversaw the architectural, lighting and interior design planning ably supported by AKA Design, for the smart main desk build and banquette seating and Oakwood for the bespoke acoustic build.

The 20 main screening seats are supplemented by a private viewing gallery allowing grading to go on undisturbed and two break out areas.
