FRAMOS

Framos has added the Lumenera Lu371 to its product portfolio. Designed for use in high-volume OEM applications, the 3.1-

megapixel USB 2.0 single board camera module has a minimal depth that will satisfy the smallest of space requirements, while offering the same functionality as Lumenera’s two-board camera models. With 2,048 x 1,536 resolution and on-board processing, these cameras deliver outstanding image quality and value for industrial applications requiring high resolution and modest

ALRAD IMAGING

Alrad Imaging has introduced the Sentech STC-GE/GEC camera series, which includes both colour and monochrome cameras. They are digital GigE cameras offered in two confi gurations: Standard and Power Plus – the latter incorporating Xilinx or Altera- based user FPGA. This series features VGA, XGA, SXGA, UXGA and QSXGA progressive scan sensors, offering resolutions from 648 x 494 to 2,448 x 2,050 and scan rates between 15 and 90fps.

KANE COMPUTING

Kane Computing Ltd (KCL) has added Flir A-Series IR cameras to its product portfolio. KCL are working as Flir’s tier-two reseller. Flir A-Series infrared camera systems are affordable and accurate solutions for machine vision and automation systems requiring non-contact imaging and temperature measurements. The built-in logic makes it ideal for safety/security systems, and for product and process monitoring in quality/reliability assurance programmes.

The A-Series is GigE Vision and GenICam compatible, a feature that cuts down integration time. Until now this capability has only been available on visual cameras. The camera is controlled from a PC and is supplied with a choice of software for easy confi guration and monitoring. In the automotive industry

there are many production processes involving heat or heat pattern generation that need to be monitored and quality-checked. www.kanecomputing.co.uk

Other features include full, 1/2 partial, 1/4 partial, variable partial scanning and binning, internal/ external sync system, 8/10/12-bit raw data, GenICam and GigE Vision protocol compatibility, pulse width trigger/edge preset trigger and communications over a 12-pin Hirose or Ethernet connector. The compact size and fl exibility of these cameras make them suitable for a wide range of machine vision and industrial applications. www.alrad.co.uk

cost. The camera operates at 12fps at full resolution and 25fps at 1,280 x 1,024 resolution.

Other features include low

fi xed pattern noise, 1/2-inch format CMOS sensor, high-speed USB 2.0, variety of micro lens mount options, and mini-USB connector or locking four-pin Molex cable for tethered USB and I/O cables. Advanced camera control is available through a complete SDK, with sample code available to quickly integrate camera functions. www.framos.eu
