speed. The LT-400CL provides a range of built- in pre-processing functions such as flat-field correction and gamma/gain correction. Another new JAI multi-CCD camera that

will be on display is the AT-200GE. The camera provides a large sensor format and high resolution. The AT-200GE offers 3 x 12-bit RGB output, enabling it to distinguish between the most subtle of colour variations. www.jai.com

Kappa will present the extended GigE Vision camera series Zelos at the show. All Zelos models are based on a modular high- performance platform with

14-bit digitisation. The camera models with HDTV, five megapixels, WVGA and VGA provide various highlights, including up to 200fps, PoE, and protection class IP54. Easy to integrate, the cameras are suited to a wide range of applications, including 3D applications. All Zelos cameras are offered as a package with

the control software KCC Zelos and an SDK. The cameras provide optional real-time recording. Live sequences (also in high-definition) are compressed in real-time at full resolution and full frame rate and then saved as high-quality video files. The data volume can be reduced with various adjustments taking into consideration the capabilities of different PCs. Third-party software can be used directly via

the cameras’ GigE Vision/GenICam or the Twain interface. With the SDK the cameras can also be integrated easily into specific applications running on Windows or Linux systems. www.kappa.de

Matrix Vision will

showcase a series of products developed for the 3D filming and broadcast market, which the company believes can find uses in

many machine vision applications. First, the mvBlueLYNX-X camera based on the low power OMAP 3 processor from Texas Instruments. These processors feature a powerful ARM- Cortex-A8 core, offering efficient performance up to 1GHz, plus a separate DSP, which allows operation at only 5W under full load. Also on show will be the company’s mvBlueCOUGAR-X Gigabit Ethernet camera, the mvBlueFOX-MLC miniature single-board camera, and new products for server-based image processing. www.matrix-vision.com

Microscan will showcase its machine vision solutions at the show. During the show, visitors can attend demonstrations of the company’s latest

vision and lighting technology, including Visionscape 4.1 software and Nerlite Hi-Brite lighting. Also at the show, Microscan will highlight auto ID solutions for 1D and 2D barcode reading, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), direct part mark (DPM) decoding, wireless decoding, and more. Microscan is a manufacturer of industrial

machine vision and lighting solutions serving a wide range of automation and OEM markets. From consumer electronics to clinical instruments and automotive components, Microscan’s complete vision systems enable critical applications such as quality control, work-in-process monitoring,

inspection,

identification, precision measurement and robotic guidance. www.microscan.com

Point grey will showcase the Flea3, which measures just 29 x 29 x 30mm in size. The cameras are available in

GigE and USB 3.0 models, alongside currently available FireWire-b models. The USB 3.0 FL3- U3 series will offer a variety of low-cost, high- speed CMOS image sensors. The Grasshopper2 GigE Vision cameras offer

their own competitive advantages. The GS2- GE-20S4 is a GigE camera running the Sony ICX274 two-megapixel image sensor at 30fps, while the GS2-GE-50S5 is a small GigE camera using the Sony ICX625, a highly sensitive five- megapixel CCD capable of running at 15fps. Also on display will be the Gazelle Camera

Link series. The high resolution, high frame rate CMOS image sensors by Cmosis include a 2.2- megapixel 2/3-inch sensor that runs at 280fps, and a 4.1-megapixel, one-inch sensor at 150fps. The Gazelle is a Full (8-tap) Camera Link camera measuring just 44 x 29 x 58mm. www.ptgrey.com

ProPhotonix, formerly StockerYale, will be exhibiting at the show. The company designs and manufactures LED systems, laser modules and distributes laser diodes that are manufactured by industry leaders Sony, Opnext, Ondex, and Sanyo. Solutions from ProPhotonix address the exacting requirements of machine vision applications including inspection,

sorting, imaging, and alignment. They span a wide number of industries including: defence, telecommunications, semi-conductor, dental, pharmaceutical, entertainment, solar energy, recycling and food and beverage. ProPhotonix has introduced the InViso laser

line generator. It has a form factor comprised of four flat surfaces, which allows the laser to be mounted easily to a flat surface, ensuring precise alignment of the laser line. Additionally, by incorporating technology that permits external focusing without tools, companies will find that they can seamlessly integrate InViso into existing applications and guarantee the repeatability of results. www.prophotonix.com

Silicon Software will showcase its PCIe x4 Camera Link frame grabbers utilising DMA900 technology. The fast boards support complete image transfer via a single DMA channel. Also on display will be two SmartApplets families: ‘adaptive binarisation’ and ‘object segmentation/ classification’, which provide image processing solutions for machine vision applications. www.silicon-software.com

Stemmer imaging will showcase its hardware-independent SDK Common Vision Blox (CVB) CameraSuite for Windows and Linux 64-bit operating systems. All GigE Vision camera customers of Stemmer Imaging can take advantage of the flexibility of the SDK on multiple platforms free of charge.

CVB CameraSuite is based on a comprehensive

and powerful implementation of the GigE Vision and GenICam standards and is certified by the standards committee. Licences for CVB CameraSuite Win32, CVB CameraSuite Win64 and CVB CameraSuite Linux64 are delivered free of charge with all GigE Vision cameras from Stemmer Imaging. For third-party camera manufacturers looking for a reliable and high- performance GigE Vision SDK for their cameras, Stemmer Imaging offers special conditions for CVB CameraSuite.
