HOMICIDES FST., 4400 block, 11:30 p.m. Aug. 30. Antonio Valdez Bela of Waldorf was found in the back yard of a residence with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Prince George’s Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead at 12:24 a.m. Aug. 31.


GOOD HOPE RD., 1700 block, 5:25 p.m. Aug. 31. A woman was found in a parking area with multiple stab wounds. She was taken to George Washington University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 5:59 p.m. WHEELER RD., 4400 block, 11:17 p.m. Aug. 27. James Hawkins Jr., 30, of Temple Hills was found on a sidewalk with a stab wound to the chest. He was taken to United Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 11:56 p.m. SEXUAL ASSAULTS STANTON RD., 3100 block, 4:25 p.m. Aug. 28. A pedestrian told police that she had been sexually assaulted by three male teenagers who had forced her into a wooded area across the street from an apartment complex.


ROBBERIES AINGER PL., 2300 block, 4:55 a.m. Aug. 29. Three men at a “tattoo party” at a residence robbed two people of property from their pockets at gunpoint. AINGER AND LANGSTON PLACES, 10:40 p.m. Aug. 29. A motorist was robbed of his wallet and forced from his vehicle at gunpoint by two male teenagers, who then traveled a short distance in the vehicle before being stopped by police. During the traffic stop, the two got out and escaped. ALABAMA AVE., 2800 block, 10:21 a.m. Aug. 26. A man robbed a bank by passing a teller a note that implied that he had a handgun. ELY PL., 3700 block, 1:10 p.m. Aug. 30. A pedestrian was attacked by a male teenager who demanded cash at gunpoint, then struck him in the head with a stick and fled


empty-handed. The pedestrian was taken to an emergency room for treatment. HOWARD RD., 1000 block, 9:35 a.m. Aug. 27. A male sitting at a bus stop threw his wallet to the ground after being threatened by a man with a box cutter. Another man then approached the male from behind and pushed him to the ground. The two assailants kicked the male, then fled on foot with the wallet. HOWARD RD., 1100 block, 11:30 p.m. Aug. 25. Two males approached a pedestrian from behind and robbed her of a purse at gunpoint. K ST., 1100 block, 8:31 p.m. Aug. 27. During an attempt to buy narcotics, amale accompanied two men walking into an alley. Once in the alley, the male was struck in the face by both men and robbed of cash from his hand. K ST., 1100 block, 1:54 p.m. Aug. 27. Two men and a female teenager attacked a male near apartment-building stairs, then fled with property from his pockets. The male was treated for injuries at the scene. NAYLOR RD., 2900 block, 8:30 a.m. Aug. 28. A male walking near a bus stop was attacked from behind by three men, who knocked him to the ground and fled with his book bag. POTOMAC AVE., 1300 block, 11:19 p.m. Aug. 29. A man attacked a pedestrian, knocking him to the ground, then robbed him of cash from his pockets. The pedestrian said that he had briefly lost consciousness. SAVANNAH ST., 200 block, 3:10 p.m. Aug. 27. A male teenager snatched property from a male pedestrian. SOUTHERN AVE., 900 block, 10 p.m. Aug. 4. Two men attacked a pedestrian and dragged him to an alley, then robbed him of property from his pocket. WAHLER PL., 1100 block, 4:15 p.m. Aug. 30. Two people got out of a Nissan Murano and approached a male standing on the porch of a residence. They robbed him of property, including a car key, at gunpoint. One robber fled in the male’s vehicle, and the other in the Nissan. THIRD ST., 4500 block, 12:30 a.m. Aug. 28. Two people attacked a male near an ATM at a gas station and demanded cash and a cellphone. During a struggle, three more people joined the assault. The five assailants then fled with property. 16TH AND A STREETS, 8:40 p.m. Aug. 30. A man approached a pedestrian from behind, implied that he had a weapon, robbed him of cash and fled on foot. THEFTS/BREAK-INS A ST., 3500 block, 6 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Aug. 30. Property was stolen from an apartment entered by removing a screen from a side window. BUTLER ST., 1500 block, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 24. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.


G ST., 4900 block, 6:50 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 27. Property was stolen from a residence entered by forcing open a lock on a door. GOOD HOPE RD., 2700 block, 10:23 to 10:30 a.m. Aug. 26. Property was stolen from the counter of a drive-through window at a fast-food restaurant. A person was seen fleeing with the property on foot. I ST., 600 block, 8:15 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. Aug. 31. Property was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a window. SOUTHERN AVE., 800 block, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 30. Property was stolen from an apartment entered by forcing open the front door. THIRD ST., 4300 block, 5:45 to 7:45 a.m. Aug. 28. A male forced his way into an acquaintance’s apartment by breaking locks on the front door, then choked her and robbed her of a cellphone. She was able to break away and run into the hall. An arrest was made at the scene. THIRD ST., 4300 block, 6:50 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 26. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry. SEVENTH ST., 500 block, 8:25 to 8:35 p.m. Aug. 31. An attempt was made to break into a residence by removing a screen and smashing a window. Two males fled on bicycles after being confronted. Nothing was reported missing.
