A pedestrian was knocked down from behind and robbed of property from his pockets. COLUMBIA RD., 1700 block, 3:05 a.m. Aug. 29. A male teenager attacked a pedestrian, knocking him to the ground, then fled with property. The pedestrian was treated for injuries at the scene. DELAFIELD PL., 300 block, 12:35 a.m. Aug. 27. A man asked a pedestrian for a cigarette, then demanded cash. When the pedestrian tried to flee, the robber and an accomplice chased him. The two men then assaulted the pedestrian and robbed him of property from his pockets. ELM ST., 200 block, 4:25 p.m. Aug. 31. Two men attacked a pedestrian from behind and robbed him of a cellphone. A 21-year-old man was arrested. GEORGIA AVE., 2200 block, 6:15 p.m. Aug. 30. A man distracted a pedestrian while another man snatched a bag from her shoulder. Both men fled on foot. The pedestrian walked to a hospital, where she was treated for an injury to her arm. GEORGIA AVE., 5000 block, 2:40 a.m. Aug. 26. A man and a woman near a gas station attacked a pedestrian from behind. He was struck with a bottle and sprayed in the face with a chemical. The robbers fled with cash from his pockets. The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to Howard University Hospital. HST., 500 block, 12:40 p.m. Aug. 26. A male teenager attacked a pedestrian from behind in an alley, knocking him to the ground, then robbed him of property from his pockets. HAMILTON ST., 800 block, 10:39 p.m. Aug. 27. Four male teenagers attacked a pedestrian from behind and tried to rob him of a backpack. After a struggle, the assailants fled empty-handed. HERTFORD PL., 3500 block, 2:55 a.m. Aug. 26. Two males attacked a pedestrian with a chemical spray, then robbed him of property from his pockets. The pedestrian received medical treatment at the scene. HIATT PL., 3200 block, 12:01 a.m. Aug. 26. Two males attacked a man who had fallen asleep outdoors. After striking him with a broomstick and a brick, the assailants fled with property from his pockets. The man was treated for his injuries at a hospital.

A man pressed a hard object against a pedestrian’s back in an alley and robbed him of a wallet. LAMONT ST., 500 block, 2 a.m. Aug. 29. Three men pulled a motorist from a vehicle and robbed him of keys, a wallet and a cellphone, then fled in the vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered in the 400 block of Columbia Road NW. MST., unit block, 3:30 p.m. Aug. 30. Amale approached a pedestrian from behind and snatched a cellphone from her hand, then fled with two male accomplices. MADISON ST., 900 block, 2:50 a.m. Aug. 28. A cabdriver who had just parked his vehicle was robbed of cash and a wallet at gunpoint by a man who had gotten out of a red vehicle. The gunman fled in the red vehicle with a male accomplice. MISSOURI AVE., 1200 block, 7 p.m. Aug. 29. A man on a bicycle attacked a pedestrian from behind and demanded a cellphone. After a brief struggle, the bicyclist fled empty-handed. MOUNT PLEASANT ST., 3300 block, 1:23 a.m. Aug. 29. Four males attacked a pedestrian and robbed him of property from his pockets. Q ST., 600 block, 3:30 p.m. Aug. 26. Amale teenager engaged a pedestrian in conversation in an alley, then struck him in the face with a hard object, knocking him to the ground. The assailant fled with a wallet, cash and a cellphone. RHODE ISLAND AVE., 800 block, 9:47 p.m. Aug. 28. During an argument in her vehicle, a man attacked an acquaintance with his fists and took her purse. He then got out of the vehicle, smashed the windshield and fled on foot. RHODE ISLAND AVE., 1400 block, 2:20 a.m. Aug. 28. Three men on bicycles blocked a pedestrian’s path and robbed him of a wallet and a cellphone. VAN BUREN ST., 1500 block, 10:10 p.m. Aug. 26. A male approached a pedestrian from behind and robbed her of a purse at gunpoint. SECOND ST., 6700 block, 9:30 p.m. Aug. 30. A male got out of a silver 2002 Mitsubishi Galant and robbed a pedestrian of his backpack containing cash and a cellphone. The robber then fled in the vehicle driven by a male accomplice. FOURTH ST., 5700 block, 10:25 p.m. Aug. 26. A man approached a motorist who had just parked a vehicle and robbed him of property from his pockets at gunpoint, then fled in the motorist’s vehicle. SIXTH ST., 1100 block, 10:48 p.m. Aug. 30. Three male youths robbed a male pedestrian of cash at gunpoint. SEVENTH ST., 600 block, 8:28 p.m. Aug. 29. A male teenager snatched a phone from a male pedestrian. 10TH ST., 2200 block, 2:55 a.m. Aug. 28. A man demanded money from a pedestrian, then pushed him to the


ground and tried to search him. After a passerby intervened, the robber fled empty-handed. The pedestrian and the passerby were treated for injuries at a hospital. 13TH AND HARVARD STREETS, 2:22 a.m. Aug. 29. A male on a bicycle snatched a purse from a female pedestrian.
