Whyte & Company have been supplying a fi rst class enforcement service to Local Authorities since 1981 and over the last few years have become a major force within the fi eld of road traffi c enforcement.
Other enforcement agents wipe over their gathered ANPR data. At Whyte & Co all ANPR sightings are preserved on a dedicated server and cross referenced against new warrants.
We now have a database that contains the images of hundreds of thousands of vehicles, their location and the time and date they were seen. When we receive new warrants we can search this database and locate vehicles.
ARNI (Auto Review Of Number Plate Information)
We estimate that this system which we call ARNI increases our overall collection rate by at least 5% and allows us to collect in many cases that would otherwise prove irrecoverable.
We were recently asked by a Local Authority to demonstrate the effectiveness of ARNI by searching on 13,000 VRM’s in respect of which the warrants had been returned as unenforceable. We had location information relating to over 5,000 of these vehicles.
