TECHNICAL FOCUS Disability compliance advice
Patrick Troy, BPA chief executive, is due to attend the next meeting of the Equipment Manufacturer and Suppliers Special Interest Group (EMS SIG), offering an opportunity for group members to share their issues and concerns. Complying with
disability and equality laws is a perennial subject for equipment manufacturers and Alan Norton, director of AssistUK, a respected campaigner for disabled people, will join the group; he is also the vice-chair of the Disabled Persons
equipment and the needs of people with disabilities. At the next meeting,
Alistair Gilchrist from Westminster City Council will give a presentation and lead a discussion about procurement and address the issues of pre-qualification questionnaires. Te next meeting

debate about the issues of parking control and revenue collection
