WHAT’S NEW Hinged lids offer easy access
Rolec has extended its IP67 aluCase range of die cast aluminiumenclosures with newmodels which have hinged lids for easier access. Typical applications include electronics and electrical control equipment that requires opening for calibration, data acquisition or servicing.
Unlike other enclosures that have hinges
bolted onto the side walls, aluCase hinges are extensions of themain profile of the case, resulting in a professional look.
The newmodels are available in
twelve sizes from140 by 110 by 60mmto 280 by 170 by 90mmand are powder painted grey, RAL 7040. Access to the hinges and lid fixing screws is via two clip-on trims. A key lock can also be employed for extra security.

International Rectifier has introduced a new on-line tool designed to simplify selection of insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBT) in a range of applications includingmotor drives, uninterruptable power supplies (UPS), solar inverters and welding.
The new selection tool evaluates
application conditions including bus voltage, switching frequency, and short circuit protection requirements. Located

Supplied in a SOP4 surface-mount package, the new TLP170
photorelaysmeasure 4.4 by 3.9 by 2.1mm. The relays help lower power consumption thanks to an output photodiode array with amaximumLED trigger of just 1mA. Devices in the series offer off-state voltages of 60, 200, 350 and 600V.
