Sponsors of the awards were the Rail Alliance, the Railway Industry Association,

Organised by Rail Media Group in collaboration with Mack Brooks, the awards dinner gave all taking part a chance to relax after a busy day on the exhibition floor. A raffle at the event also raised £1,130 for the Railway Children charity. With top quality music from jazz band Fascinating Rhythm and lively entertainment from comedian Stephen Grant, who also turned in a star performance as compère for the evening, Infrarail Awards 2010 set a high standard for what is expected to be a regular feature of future Infrarail and Railtex shows.
