Commend launches new intercoms
Commend UK used the show to present its new IP 65-rated Intercom 2.0 Series WS range of wall- mounted intercom stations to the rail and mass transit markets, along the way winning a Commendation in the Best Product Innovation category at the Infrarail Awards.
The range includes a family of vandal-resistant units
ideal for the most demanding locations. Features include a 3mm high-grade stainless steel front plate with ‘poke protection’, special screws and provision for an alarm to sound it the unit is tampered with. The WS units use Commend’s secure Intercom over Internet protocol (IoIP), enabling installers to make changes quickly and remotely. Options include built- in colour video cameras or TFT monitors to enable operators to see users of the unit.
Invensys innovations feature on award- winning stand
Systems presented on the Invensys Rail stand included its Modular Signalling Solution, developed to allow a wide range of signalling schemes to be implemented from a small range of core components. The company says a key benefit is its ability to provide a completely integrated system that is installed and tested in a safe, efficient and repeatable manner, requiring significantly less time on site.
In addition, Invensys Rail highlighted its manufacturing capability for products such as location cases, with extra capacity now available following further recent investments, and for REBs, racks and cubicles. Relay production was also featured. The company was the successful nominee for
Best Space Only Stand in the Infrarail Awards. Developed by ISO14001-certified Nimlok, the stand is modular, enabling it to be configured to maximise the opportunities presented by location and space availability at different exhibitions.
