up by references to SCA’s latest third party accreditations. To underline the hygiene message, SCA revealed full details of its latest Hygiene Matters study which is published every year in a bid to raise awareness of the need for hand hygiene. This year’s

report revealed that 89% of British

could have prepared me for the demonstration given by Karin Mugnaini Girault. Using only water the ionator completely removed oil from a piece of glass. This was certainly an impressive piece of kit. Is it the future of cleaning as we know it? Only time will tell...

If I had to give an award for the friendliest stand it would undoubtedly go to Branova. Managing Director, Dominic Barnes, with team members Steve and Julie, were always seen with smiles on their faces on their busy stand. The Meleco Magic Eraser is a firm favourite of mine having tested the product before in our December issue. Between me and you, we find it extremely useful in removing the coffee stains

Brightwell unveiled the stunning Mercury Dispensers range at the show and the stainless steel effect is simply stunning. The contemporary range includes: a soap dispenser, a paper hand towel dispenser, jumbo and multflat toilet tissue dispensers and a 25-litre waste bin. The range can also be customised for prominent

and stylish branding. I imagine this range to appear in an up-market hotel or an exclusive bar; it would fit in perfectly.

respondents claimed they washed their hands more frequently following the advent of swine flu. It also showed that schools were a particular area of concern, with 66% of respondents claiming hygiene should be improved in school washrooms.

Another favourite stand of mine was the P&L Systems stand, where Marketing Manager Claire Larcombe took the time to show us the fantastically scented TimeMist range. With a scent for everyone and more in the pipeline, their range is impressive. Interestingly Claire informed me that certain scents are more popular in certain countries, something I had never considered. I think my favourite is Classic Cherry, which reminds me of Cherry Bakewells! The latest Spring fragrance is lovely too, conjuring up exactly what it says on the tin.
