“I have always been interested in the unseen world.

From a very early age, I had memories of past lives and thoughts that I came from another planet. I was not like other kids, very interested in things that were not talked about. As I got older, I moved to California where I met a lot of people interested in spirituality and consciousness. I finally began to feel at home on planet earth because I was with people that shared my thoughts and ideas.”

Q: Many people misconstrue that wishing, thinking and desiring something will make it show up. Is there an element of action required beyond the feeling step?

Arielle Ford: I think it is both. It is like winning the lottery. If you don’t buy the ticket, you cannot win. For example, if you are an author, you have to market yourself and market your book. Using the Law of Intention, you can have a clear vision where you want to be in the various steps and attract to yourself the people and things that support you and where you want to go.

All authors want a famous person to endorse their book. You can sit and meditate all day long, ‘I want Wayne Dyer to endorse my book.’ However, if you make an effort to go meet Wayne Dyer at a local book signing or PBS showing and connect with him, then you open the opportunity for something to occur. That is the action and intention part of manifestation.

Q: Do you establish goals or have a plan for your life?

Arielle Ford: I used to have a lot of goals, beginning of the year, each Monday, every day, etc… Now it is more about being in the moment and deciding what the next step is. Sometimes I take the time to walk around the block and ‘the next’ just shows up, as opposed to being in this driven place of I have to do these fifteen things and I have to do them now. Being driven always came out of an overblown sense of responsibility coupled with a lot of guilt that I was not producing enough results. So it is a little easier and a lot more fun now. Experience has taught me that I always do get the job done even if I do not know how it is going to get done. Spirit is always by my side.

Q: You have really helped to steer the careers of many leading spiritual and self help teachers. Who were your mentors?

Arielle Ford: Marianne

Williamson was definitely a major guiding light. As a friend and as a spiritual teacher, I learned invaluable lessons from her. Certainly Deepak has been a good friend and a mentor. My sister, Debbie Ford from which I have gotten amazing lessons on many levels: being a good sister, a friend, and on a professional level as her manager. Debbie’s work with the ‘dark side’ and the ’shadow’ changed my life. Every person I ever worked with I learned a lot from.

I worked for the first three years on the Chicken Soup for the Soul books with Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen. Every time someone copied them with collection of stories in a book, Jack always endorsed their book. I said, ‘These people just copied your style exactly and you have given them an endorsement, Why?’ He replied, ‘Because it feels good. Why not? Why shouldn’t I support them? It is not going to take anything away from me.’ I was so fortunate to have people, like that, mentor me along the way.

Q: You have aligned with wonderful people and companies. Reveal your thoughts regarding collaboration as a way of expanding good in the world.

Arielle Ford: It comes from heart willingness and generosity of spirit, not having to claim everything as your own. If the ego is involved, ‘This is my work and I am not willing to share’, it might be kind of a lonely life. If you can be expansive and know we live in a world where there is enough for everybody, you do not have to get caught up in the ego games. You can say ‘I am going to support all of these people the best I can as long as it feels good and makes sense.’ Do not do it from a sense ‘they owe me’ but from a place that feels good to give.

Q: In your career or life, there probably were challenging times and low points, how did you lift yourself out of those situations?

Arielle Ford: I have had many of them and they have been dark and long lasting. At one point my business was almost bankrupt, my
