Its contracts manager, William Charlesworth, decided to pursue a degree in quantity surveying last year when his regional manager, Steve Roberts, confirmed that the course was eligible under the fund. The company applied to cover the fees
for William to undertake a part-time BSc in Quantity Surveying at the University of Salford, and he was approved for long-term funding of around £8,000 over the five-year duration of the course. William is now combining work and study and has nearly finished his first year. When
