And hands-on demonstrations of the latest supply chain solutions from leading solution providers will take place in the exhibition area. A full conference stream of

workshops and presentations in the three areas of retail grocery, non- grocery retail and healthcare-specifi c sectors will informative views on developments around supply chain data standards and solutions in the real world. While the peer-driven will also offer practical advice for smaller suppliers on everything needed to know about barcoding and getting products to retailers as quickly as possible.

The day will also include the presentation of the GS1 UK Excellence Awards, in association with Cranfi eld School of Management. The awards are in recognition of outstanding work and contribution to specifi c companies and individuals for their innovation and commitment when implementing the GS1 System. Last year’s GS1 UK Annual

Conference tackled some of the biggest issues facing businesses today including the economy, business effi ciency and sustainability. The event, which took place in Leicester on 23 April 2009, attracted over 200 attendees from a broad spectrum of businesses who came to learn how improving the effi ciency of their supply chains can help in a downturn.
