1) Athens was a very green city until the ‘60s when they started chopping down trees and building houses. So when we built the park in 2002, there had to be a lot of green, first of all for shade in summer, and secondly so the people of Athens could enjoy a nice green spot. In fact, people started picking the flowers and taking them home. At first we didn’t think this was proper, but actually I now consider it a success. Someone is going to pick that flower, put it in a glass at home, and it is going to remind them of the park. It’s costly to keep replacing them, but it comes out of our marketing budget!
2) This is my favourite hot dog place, Fritas, which also sells French fries. It’s a special hot dog; a custom cut that has no fat, just a fillet of pork. We wanted it to be as healthy as possible.
3) The Ferris wheel was one of the first features of the park. It was a strategic choice to put it on that side of the park so everyone could see it from town and the highway. After dark you can even see it from the Acropolis!
4) Here you see our Air Diver and Slingshot rides, 5G and 6G.Together with the Booster and the Star Flyer they make up the adrenaline section of the park. The Star Flyer looks like an easy ride but actually I’m less afraid of the Air Diver!
