ParkWord
April 2010
For the fourth consecutive year, Park World
will be publishing the official TEA/AECOM attendance report, so you can discover how the world's top amusement parks performed in 2009. The new report should be available to download by the time you read this at www.parkworld-online.com. We will also publish highlights in the next issue.
As I write, Easter is just around the corner and many parks will be gearing up for what, hopefully, will be a great start to the 2010 season. Last year was proof that, even in a global economic downturn, public appetite for parks and attractions remains strong. Indeed, some operators even benefited from the “stay at home” holiday trend.
But there is still one factor likely to affect the outdoor amusement industry in the coming year, the same thing that affects it every season: the weather. Here’s to a sunny, successful 2010!
