from previous events, those who attend leave with a real sense of having gained something that they can take back and use in their working life. Each workshop will
take place in central London. Tey will be all-day events, with refreshments provided. Te first workshop
will take place on 14 April at the Institute of Highways & Transportation.
Following on from the IPP’s focus on continuing professional development (CPD) at Parkex, we will be looking at what this really means to parking professionals, and how simple it is to do as part of every day working life. We will be hoping to identify the benefits of CPD for professionals at all levels, whether starting out in a career, or much further down the line. Tis workshop
will also look at leadership skills, which are relevant at all levels – and it never hurts to brush up on skills we might think we don’t need any practice at! A number of delegates at the October workshop learnt that it’s all too easy to slip into bad habits but this training can help to sharpen up skills and reinforce good practice. Te programme is outlined below.
l Suitable for all levels, from career entry to senior management l Demonstrates the importance of CPD and its benefits l Enables delegates to integrate CPD into their day-to-day work life to get the best out of themselves l Challenges delegates to look at their own leadership skills and the impact of good or bad leadership skills on their team
l Ideal for any individual who might lead or chair meetings, deliver training/coaching, or need to facilitate any working groups l Considers all elements of facilitation including environment, engagement and delivery l Delegates will be able to ensure they get the best out of their situation, and ensure productivity and effectiveness
l Aimed at budding team leaders, through to existing manager and senior managers l What motivates and de-motivates people l How do we get the best from our teams? l What are the benefits to having a driven and motivated team? l What affects motivation at work?
l A rather special event taking place over two days, including overnight accommodation, all meals and a great opportunity to practice newly-learnt networking skills l How to make a positive and impactful first impression l How to initiate conversations and deliver the all important elevator pitch l How to use technology and social networking sites in business to maximise your networking potential
l Aimed at managers facing the challenges of a multicultural workforce and parking within a diverse society l Exploring what multicultural means and how it affects the parking sector l Explore the challenges facing the sector today l Explore the challenges of managing a multicultural team
Bookings are being taken for all one-day workshops now. We are offering a 10 per cent discount to anyone booking all four of the all-day events in advance, as long as payment is received by 9 April. Prices are £165.00 per individual per workshop for IPP members and £200.00 for Non IPP Members. To book your place email Dave Smith at
