wonderful journey ... Te start of a
Te journey to your wedding ceremony will probably be the most nerve-racking and emotional you will ever experience, so make sure you travel in complete comfort and of course, style!
When it comes to arranging transport for your big day, don’t be too hasty – be sure to take your time and shop around first as there are many options available to choose from. Before you place a booking, it is wise to consider the following factors: -
Rain or Shine - The date of your wedding and the weather which comes with it should be taken into consideration when
choosing your method of transport - especially if you are planning to tie the knot in bonnie Scotland! We all know too well that Scottish weather is unpredictable, so if you opt to arrive in an open top vehicle - make sure it is fitted with a protected hood!
Picture Perfect – Your wedding transport will probably be a main feature in several of your wedding photos. For this
reason, you may wish to take into account colour coordination. The majority (if not all) of transport providers these days offer to decorate the vehicle with ribbon, and in some cases fresh flowers to match that of the bride’s chosen colour theme.
In addition, many companies will offer uniformed chauffeurs which can add that touch of elegance and style to your special day.
Breathing Space – It is important for you to physically view the interior of your chosen vehicle well in advance to
ensure that there is enough room for the passengers. The majority of transport providers will be more than happy for you to take a seat within their vehicle(s) to enable you to get an overall feel for it.
Remember to take into account the outfits which will be worn on the big day, will they fit comfortably into the vehicle? All passengers should feel they have plenty of room, so the more spacious the interior the better. The last thing you want is to be gasping for air in the midst of petty coats and netting!
Also, make sure that the chosen method of transport is easy to get in and out of. Don’t put your ladylike manner in the line of fire - or you may end up with the highest number of hits on ‘You Tube’!
Sum Up – The cost of transport is very rarely fixed as the bill will depend on factors such as overtime, changes to
itinerary or any delays.
Make sure you give the transport company an outlined timetable of your big day so they can get you and your bridal party where you need to be in the best time possible.
Finally, discuss and understand what is included in the service before you sign your name and read all terms and conditions carefully.
