St Andrew’s Golf & Country Club
Alassa, near Limassol
Covering some 2 million square metres of land, St Andrew’s Golf & Country Club is one of only a dozen or so approved golf developments granted a licence by the Cypriot Government, so will be supported by the Cyprus Tourism Office.
Set to be one of Cyprus’ biggest and best new Championship golf courses – with a spectacular and challenging layout across hilly countryside – it has been designed by Portuguese expert Jorge Santana da Silva.
Located near the village of Alassa, overlooking the Kouris Dam, St Andrew’s is fifteen minutes’ drive out of
Limassol, in the foothills of the Troodos Mountains. The land is mostly wild and unspoilt, with the occasional small vineyard. In the spring the hillsides are carpeted by wild flowers, with flocks of partridge scurrying through the thyme and oregano.
This classic Cypriot landscape will be developed in a sympathetic and complementary style, with groupings of villas, townhouses and luxury apartments scattered throughout the entire project. Master designers for the development are award-winning London architects Scott Brownrigg. Properties will have lovely views over the countryside and reservoir, whilst
prime locations will see Limassol bay in the distance.
To complement the golf, the resort will also include a tennis school, football pitches, Olympic-size swimming pools and athletic facilities, plus a major spa and gymnasium complex to provide health and beauty treatments. And for those less interested in sport, there’ll be a village square with restaurants and coffee bars, designer shops and children’s play areas.
At the centre will be the Country Club, the focus of activities for all residents and their visitors, while a five-star hotel will provide luxurious accommodation
