Flooring system is a big hit Heating industry professionals have reacted quickly to the launch of Timoleon’s new Toron combined underfloor heating & flooring system. Strawberry Fields is a large new domestic property built for private owners at St Helier. The ground floor Timoleon pipework was integrated into the screeded concrete floors using the company’s Metis ClipPlates. This technique provides a versatile means of retaining the pipe to the required layout, & the 10mm layer of expanded polystyrene integrated beneath each plate guards against deformation & provides extra insulation into the bargain! The deep castellations on the Metis ClipPlate offer protection from site

New lift specification developed

The Platform Lift Company announces that as a result of working together with London Underground, a new lift specification has been approved. This has been used to provide step free access at selected stations as part of London Underground’s wider programme to enhance accessibility on the Tube. The new lift specification is designed to meet with both European and British legislation and is architecturally sensitive in order to cause minimal structural impact at the stations. Enhanced safety features on the lifts include digital display, voice enunciation and future proof technology to enable the lift control panel to communicate with the station master. A Technology

solution? Coolpower Products

has

launched a technology solution for the UK market, that will, for the first time, provide a smart energy management device for both domestic & commercial buildings, that more effectively manages the energy output of grid-connected micro-generators (e.g. solar panels, micro wind and hydro turbines). Coolpower is confident that its new EMMA controller device will optimise the performance of micro- generators, effectively quadrupling the value of electricity from a micro- generator, otherwise exported

uncontrollably to the grid. Click here to request literature
